Introduction to Sponsorship Seminars

This seminar is designed to raise understanding of arts sponsorship and give practical guidance to arts and museums groups on how to go about obtaining and developing it. The course is for those who have no sponsorship experience as well as those who wish to refresh themselves of the fundamental principles and practices The course is held over six hours, refreshments are included and delegates receive a comprehensive pack of information including presentation material and the Arts & Business Sponsorship Manual

Advanced Sponsorship Seminars

 This one-day course, originally devised by Arts & Business Yorkshire, is a highly practical day designed to build upon the themes of the “Introduction to Sponsorship” course and is intended for arts professionals who spend a significant proportion of their time in a development role.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Understand the broader sponsorship arena in which you operate
• See what the sponsorship trends are and find new ideas to stimulate business interest
• Identify your own brand values and what it is you are really offering
• Get sponsorship right more of the time Start proving that arts sponsorship works and measure the results effectively
• Build a sponsorship strategy for the future

The course has an outside facilitator as well as a guest speaker from the North East business community and will involve both pre and post seminar work with practical exercises throughout the day.

Arts Advisory Sessions

We offer free advisory sessions to arts organisations and museums in the region to advise on the approaches they might take when seeking business support. We also give detailed advice and help on our awards scheme and how to make an application. The sessions usually last for one hour and two people from each organisation are welcome to attend. It is an opportunity for arts organisations to discuss in depth any particular needs in terms of sponsorship and business support.
