Business Advisors for the Arts

We believe that people in the arts and people in business have valuable skills and experience to share and in doing so will contribute to their own professional development.

We have developed specific programmes to help business volunteers share their professional skills with arts organisations.

Our Skills Bank Programme matches the skills of volunteer business people with the needs of arts organisations and museums to provide support for particular time-limited projects, for example they give help with business planning, marketing, finance, IT or personnel work. This is typically a few hours a month for up to six months.

We have developed the Board Bank Programme to help arts organisations and museums recruit board members from the business and professional community. This will build more permanent relationships and encourage high quality governance of the arts organisations and museums involved.
