Training and Advice
The Sponsors Club for Arts & Business promotes and encourages partnerships between business and offers a number of training seminars and advice sessions each year throughout the North East region.
For the Arts
The Sponsors Club for Arts & Business is not able to find you a business sponsor but some of our programmes should help you to do it for yourself. We run a series of low cost training seminars which are designed to help arts professionals with fundraising:
Introduction to Sponsorship seminar
Specifically designed to raise understanding of arts sponsorship and give practical guidance to arts organisations and museums on how best to go about obtaining and developing it. The seminar is not only aimed at those who have little or no sponsorship experience, but also those who wish to refresh themselves with the fundamental principles and practice of this important source of arts funding.
Advanced Sponsorship Seminar
Designed to provide new ideas, inspiration and fresh insights into the world of Arts sponsorship. This intensive course features practical, interactive exercises throughout, and is aimed at Development professionals who have been actively fundraising for at least one year.
The course is intended as the next step after the Introduction to Sponsorship Seminar, to further develop fundraising skills and knowledge of the corporate sector.
Introduction to Arts Based Training Seminar
Discover a new source of income from business at this seminar. Businesses are becoming more aware of what the arts have to offer in terms of creativity, innovation, communication, teamwork etc and Arts & Business is keen to help artist trainers maximise their potential to provide these skills to the business community. To this end we run a seminar to assist artists and actors in developing their potential as arts-based trainers.
Introduction to Individual Giving Seminar
This seminar is a practical introduction to how to raise money from individuals and how to develop and maximize Arts philanthropy. Training will encompass the latest trends in raising money from individuals as well as other organisations involved in philanthropy.
